Our insurance coverage attorneys represent individuals, families, homeowners, and businesses in disputes with their insurance companies. We are well known in the state and region for the depth and breadth of our experience in litigating and negotiating with insurance companies. We also advise and assist our clients in preparing damages claims and evaluating potential legal exposures that should be addressed when purchasing coverage.

Representative Cases

    • Represented retailer on ocean transit coverage claim relating to lost packaging imported from China. The insurance carrier denied coverage for the claim. The claim was settled for the full amount of coverage plus the full amount of attorneys’ fees incurred by the insured.
    • Represented custom printing business on claim relating to damage to equipment caused by water following a roof collapse. The insurance carrier asserted that the equipment could be cleaned. The insured contended the equipment needed to be replaced. The case was settled for the full amount of the claim, the full amount of attorneys’ fees, and lost profits exceeding the original amount of the claim.
    • Advised technology company during litigation concerning complex coverage issues, insurance company obligations, allocation issues, and settlement strategies following an initial denial of coverage by the insurance carrier.
    • Represented insured against an insurer and insurance agent following a fire loss to the client’s home and successfully resolved case against defendants.
    • Represented publically traded company and its directors and officers in action against D&O insurers in connection with claims arising out of natural disaster.
    • Represented condominium developer against multiple insurers in coverage litigation arising out of water intrusion claims.
    • Advised large export company about contract provisions relating to insurance and indemnity provisions to include in vendor agreements.
    • Extensive experience working with public adjusters.
