John Fetters practices civil litigation in both state and federal court, as well as in private arbitration. John represents individuals and businesses in a wide variety of contract disputes and business tort litigation. He also defends personal injury claims on behalf of businesses and product manufacturers. John enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer and golf, and is an avid Sounders FC fan.

  • Defended international merchant bank in lender liability action.
  • Defended business process outsourcing company in breach of contract action.
  • Represented owner of closely held corporation in breach of contract action against co-owner.
  • Represented several commercial property owners in breach of lease disputes.
  • AVIATION
  • Defended private weather service in action by commercial airline passengers for injuries related to turbulence. Prevailed on summary judgment: 2011 WL 678657 (PDF).
  • Defended commercial airline in negligent infliction of emotional distress claim where engine fan cowls dislodged during flight.
  • Defended several commercial airlines in boarding/deplaning trip-and-fall claims.
  • Represented general aviation manufacturer in air crash litigation.

  • Represented chiropractor in insurance coverage lawsuit against professional liability insurer and commercial general liability insurer.
  • Represented liability insurer in large contribution action against co-insurer.
