Larry Mills is the founder of Mills Meyers Swartling. He has practiced business law, commercial transactions, and commercial litigation for over thirty years. For over twenty years, Mr. Mills has maintained an active practice as an American Arbitration Association mediator and arbitrator in a wide variety of contexts, including business and commercial matters, contracts, real estate, intellectual property, construction, employment, and estates and trusts. He has conducted hundreds of mediations and arbitrations throughout the United States. Larry is a former Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution, and he has served as Chair of the Dispute Resolution Section of the Washington State Bar Association and as Co-Chair of the Northwest Dispute Resolution Conference. He has published numerous articles on dispute resolution topics and is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars on dispute resolution methods and ethics. Larry serves as a Washington State Bar Association hearing officer in attorney disciplinary matters. He is a member of the American Arbitration Association’s Commercial, Construction, International, and Large Complex Case panels. Larry is an honors graduate of Princeton University and has a master’s degree in public policy and a law degree from the University of Michigan, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law Reform.
