Fred Meyers is Of Counsel to the firm and available for consultation. Fred is a former shareholder of the firm and has practiced law in Seattle since 1965. His practice focuses on civil litigation, both tort and commercial, including product liability, aviation, environmental law, professional malpractice, toxic torts, municipal law, and general casualty and insurance law. Fred graduated from the University of Washington Law School in 1965. He served as a trial deputy with the King County Prosecuting Attorney. Fred is a former chairperson of the Litigation Section of the Washington State Bar Association, and has served on numerous bar committees, including the Washington State Bar Association Judicial Recommendation Committee, the King County Bar Association Judicial Selection Committee and the WSBA Disciplinary Board. He currently serves on the WSBA Mediation Panel. Fred has also participated in numerous Continuing Legal Education programs. He is a former member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, where he chaired the Aviation Committee and served as a faculty member of the IADC Trial Academy. Fred is a member of the Defense Research Institute and a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and an associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Fred has been named a Washington Super Lawyer by Washington Law & Politics magazine every year since 2003.
