Geoff Grindeland's litigation practice includes insurance coverage, business disputes, civil rights, and personal injury and wrongful death cases. He represents police officers, pilots, airlines, manufacturers, and other individuals and businesses in state and federal court. Geoff is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a Dillard Fellow and an Executive Editor of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law. A former Navy pilot who flew both helicopters and turboprop airplanes, he earned airline transport pilot (airplane) and commercial/instrument (helicopter) ratings and attained various military designations, including instructor pilot and maintenance check pilot. Geoff is also a graduate of the five-week Aviation Safety Officer’s Course on mishap prevention and investigation at the Naval Postgraduate School and has managed safety, maintenance, training, and equal opportunity programs. Geoff was named a 'Rising Star' by Washington Law & Politics magazine for 2009 and 2010.
